The leaves are falling, the temperature is slowly dropping
& our dance season is well under way!
Welcome to all of our students who have joined us over the past few weeks.
We hope you are all enjoying your classes!
MAKE-UP CLASSES
If any student started classes late or missed any classes make-up classes
are available. Traveling Team members have 30 days to make up any missed
classes. If a student wishes to receive a Perfect Attendance certificate at
Recital they have until May to make-up any & all classes, but a student will
get more out of a make-up class now than in Feb - May when Recital dances
are being rehearsed.
CHANNEL 13
If you were flicking through your TV channels this past weekend you may have
caught a glimpse of NEDC's 2005 Recital "DREAMS 2005". Channel 13 played the
first act, first awards & pieces of dress rehearsal at various times from
Nov. 4 - Nov. 7. You can catch Act II & the 2nd section of the awards
ceremonies on Channel 13 on Friday, November 11 @ 9:30 pm, Sat. Nov. 12 @
10:00 am, Sun. Nov. 13 @ 7:30 pm & Mon. Nov. 14 @ 11:30. These dates are
subject to change due to the Veteran's Day Holiday. But, tell your friends &
family to check it out & see what NEDC is all about!!!
YANKEE CANDLE
Congrats to Haylie DeCosta & her mom, Melanie, for being the top
sellers of this fantastic fund-raiser! Many of you out did yourselves &
ended up with a few free months of tuition. Way To Go!!

FIRST NIGHT WORCESTER 2006
All Traveling Team members will be performing ! Everyone is welcome to come
& enjoy the show. We are tentatively performing at 3:00 at Worc. Voke for a
45 minute show. NEDC should be selling buttons for a very low rate!!
FRIENDLY HOUSE CHRISTMAS PARTY
All Traveling Team members are preparing to perform a half hour show on
Sunday, December 18 around 2:00 PM.
Please stop in & enjoy the show & festivities!
NURSING HOME SHOWS
Thank You to Makenzie, Amanda, Angelina, Malaysia, Tasha & Tee for
performing a wonderful 35 minute show for the folks at Millbury Health Care
on Sunday, October 30. The elderly loved clapping along to the tunes. You
really put a smile on their faces!

REMINDER
Traveling Team members NEED NEW tights for monthly shows. Please do not
arrive with ripped or dirty tights.
All Traveling Team Members also NEED
an NEDC jacket, T-Shirt & garment bag.
Running Pants & sports bags are optional.
Any NEDC student may purchase NEDC "gear". The Christmas Season is
approaching & the wait time to receive these items upon ordering is growing.

Students may take make-up classes for these closed days if a parent would
like to get a full month of classes in, but it is not mandatory & will not
count against perfect attendance.
Traveling Team Members performing at First Night will
have a mandatory rehearsal on either Wed. Dec. 28 or Fri Dec 30. Please let
us know NOW if one of these days doesn't work for you.
Solos, Duets & Trios will also continue with special rehearsals during our
closing.

Who will run for Committee President? We need you to run! We need you to
vote! Put your thinking caps on for new fund-raising ideas. We need your
help with phone calls, costume decorating, cleaning & NEDC performances!
Remember, NEDC is a non-profit organization & it needs many volunteers to
provide the students with everything they need. Please sit on the parent
committee that will meet once a month. Children can attend meetings & play
in the waiting room. No babies or toddlers, unless supervised by an older
sibling. FIRST MEETING: Friday, December 2 @ 5:00.

GOLF TOURNAMENT UPDATE
The Golf Tornament scheduled for October 22 was cancelled due to lack of
interest. We NEED all of you to keep at least one person in mind for the NEW
DATE of the Golf Tournament coming in the spring. We have tons of prizes
already waiting for the winners. Please start getting the word out there
now!
AND MINI GOLF
For those of you who don't play regular golf, NEDC is also putting
together a Mini - Golf Tournament in the later spring. Kids & Adults
Invited! Prizes! Cook-Out & More!
WINTER REMINDER
If the Worcester Public Schools cancel school, NEDC is closed for that day.
If you have any questions call NEDC after 12:00 & listen to the message.
HOLIDAY SLEEPOVER
Our 2nd Sleepover of the year is planned for: Saturday, December 10 @ 6:00 -
Sunday, December 11 @ 10:00 AM. We will have a small Christmas Party & gift
swap ~ bring a wrapped gift good for a girl or boy worth nomore than $5.00.
We'll dance to Christmas music, eat Christmas cookies, watch Christmas
movies & if there's snow on the ground, taks a walk outside & enjoy it.
Our Halloween Party was a blast with 35 of your smiling faces there! We hope
to see you & all of your friends & cousins & siblings again!
COMPETITION UPDATE
NEDC is still waiting to receive the last of the competition flyers to
decide on exact dates & places we will attend.
One competition we have decided on attending is:
DYNAMITE PRODUCTIONS. Their tentative dates in the area are March 26 & 27 @
the Back bay Aud in Boston.
